Fee hike in IIT's

First of all,i would like to point out that fee hike in an institution of repute and the so called temple of learning are not justified at all.its the responsibility of government to keep fee of these institutions of repute to the minimal level so that, even the poorest of poor guy can afford studying there.

Apart from the tution fee,One also has to pay the hostel fees, mess fee, library fees etc. So,on an year basis total expenditure at IIT's comes to around 60k.Also,the motive of iit's was not to get the whole expenditure from the students alone instead, they were established as an institution of repute which will create its own brand value and funds through R n D works, industry sponsorship and a part from government. So that, merit is not barred admission to these instituions of repute. So,rather than concentrating on fee hikes they should concentrate on industry sponsership and R&D works. You can not say that the hike in fees is not deterrent for the poor students as,there are many peoples who are so poor that they can not even bear the cost of living there in IIT's,So,how can they even dream of studying in these institutions...also loan is not the only solution for them. Loan is not the solution to their problem, instead it will create more burden on them...a college fresh guy who enters the IIT campus will have to keep in mind from the day1,that he is indebted towards someone and he has to pay it back.It may cause additional stress to him as well which in turn may hamper his studies. I am continuously viewing it evrywhere that loan is the solution of fee hikes. But,in my view loan is not a solution to any problems but it only creates more problems. Today IIT is IIT only due to quality of students who study there, once the merit is gone...IIT will not be an institution of repute. So they should take such steps so that, they continue to get the Meritorious students and not close the doors for them. I am not saying that fee hike should not be there but it should not be so much.Just now i saw the IIM's increaing their fees ranging from 2-3 times.is it rally justified ?from my point of view no. i am from a middle class family, but i can not dream of studying in these IIM's without taking loans. So,how the low income peoples will even dream of getting into IIM's or IIT's. there should be a rational behind fee hikes in these institutions of repute so that, everyone can afford the education. The increased cost of education if can not be beared by the IIT's govt should come forward,it will not be a huge amount for a govt, which can write off the loans for farm sector to the une of 60k crores

HRD, CBSE finetuning plan to make Class X exam optional

The HRD ministry decision to making 10th board examination optional,is one of the worst decision. This is in no way going to help upgrade our education system, instead it will downgrade student's skills furthur. No one will take his education seriously till 12th,as no one wanna go that extra mile, unless its really required.

So,it will in a long run will affect the sudent's career and in turn the whol education system of our country.also it will become very difficult for the +2 schools to admit the students. As they will have only selected band no of grades to differentiate between students academically.

Instead of removing the marking system from 10th board,Govt should have planned how to make the 10th and +2 syllabus moreover in sync and how to make the syllabus more employment oriented and interesting, so that a student does not feels extra burden when he goes for higher education.

I am totally against this decision. As no lunar mission is successful till its get launched succesfully, similarly no education is complete till its tested .Hoping before giving this bill final approval govt will have a re-think

My Birthday 15th August

Its 15th August, the 62nd Independence day of our country. We have come a long way since our independence i.e,15th Aug 1947.Its nice to see that our country is progressing in each and every field and is on the verge of gaining its old glory back.

I was sleeping on 15th morning ,when my mobile started ringing(its very anguish to see my mobile ringing, when i m in bed)anyways i got up from my bed to pick the call..the no was new to me ,it seemed to be some USA no.anyways,i picked the call....there was a surprise for me,Some close friend of mine had called me to wish me birthday wishes(my birthday falls on this auspicious day). Its beenlong, since i had talked to her last.So all my anguish vanished within seconds.

Then a series of calls started coming...ranging from Northern to Southern,Eastern to Western part of india and USA to UK.It gives me internal pleasure if someone remembers me on my birthday. It gives me feeling, that there are some friends, who really care for me.In my childhood days ,i used to feel pride to tease my friends by saying that see...my birthday falls on an auspicious day.

Due to this coincidence of my birthday,i had developed a self motivated interest to serve the country,as a Defence officer.I was fascinated by the sacrifices done by the indian freedom fighters. In my childhood days, each and every year in my school,i used to take the lead in making arrangements for the Independence day celebrations. It used to give me immense pleasure.I also used to participate in cultural programmes organized in my school..i won many prizes for the same, including a medal from the District Magistrate of my district.

Even during my B.Tech days,i was a part of N.C.C,so every year..we used to start practicing for parade 15-20 days prior to Independence day.It filled my heart with pride and satisfaction.I had decided that i will fulfill my career as an army officer. So,i appeared for the Combined Defense Services examination, and yes!! i was selected in the all india written test.My SSB Interview venue was 22,Sultania Infantry,Bhopal.I was very happy to clear this first hurdle and was hopeful to complete the second hurdle as well.In SSB interview(comprises of 5 days, with screening at each stage),i continued till the last day.But sad news, finally i was not selected as according to them my physical health was not fit for army job. So,no chances for me in army.

On that day i was very upset, but later on got motivational thoughts from my parents and family members...that only army is not the end of the road, and if i wanted to serve the coutry i could have done the same by being an engineer as well.Everyone who is working towards the betterment and upliftment of the country is serving the nation in one or the other means.

So,after that,i decided to be an engineer...where i can make the country technologically advanced..and am working in my way for the betterment of the country and its people.

I have come a long way in this blog.so,lets have an end to this.wish all of my countrymen happy independence day!!Jai Hind and thanks to all of my friends for their wishes!

Thats the day,

Gumraah : Sunil Dutt , Old Is Gold

Yesterday evening i was wandering about how to pass my leisure time ,as it was a weekend.Generally during weekends, i spend my time either sleeping/watching movies or surfing net.As i was wandering, suddenly my eyes popped out towards my movies collection and i saw that there was one Black and white movie CD,which i had not seen yet.The movie name was:Gumraah.

So,i had got my favourite medium to utilize my leisure time. This was one of the best movie,i have ever seen. After seeing this movie i have no doubt in saying that old era of indian film industry was really a golden era. There was perfection in everything, be it direction, action, music, lyrics or singing. The songs of this movie were all hearttouching. The story was superbb!!

In one word this movie was fantastic..I have not a single doubt in my mind nowadays, that old is really gold.these are the movies which can be enjoyed by sitting next to your family, unlike the new ones where there is vulgarity throughout the movie and one may even feel shy to watch it with his/hey hubby.

The movie starts with a very melodious note:Sunil dutt singing a song..In hawaon mein...thats an awesome song. The beautiful scenary which runs in background is also fantastic..this shows the level of perfection which used to be there in those movies.

The story is of an artist who is a very good singer as well as good painter,Rajendra(Sunil Dutt) who falls in love with Mina (Mala sinha),There life was going on at ease when suddenly one day
Mina's elder sister died by falling from hillock. She had 2 children, both were in very young age when Mina's elder sister died. So,there came one deadly turn to the story..

Guess what!!yes you are right,Mina's father recommended her to marry ashok kumar..as she could better take care of her children..and finally she had to sacrifice her love to marry Ashok kumar.

Anyways, though she had married ashok kumar and loved her children like her own child...still she had love in her heart for Sunil Dutt.and whenever she used to come back to home from mumbai...she used to meet him.Hey...sorry i am not gonna tell u the whole story else you will not njoy the movie...so thats all from me :)

the movie is full of many twists..and is very entertaining and family kindda movie..so i will recommend everyone to watch the movie....the scenic movie shown in this movie and the songs of the movie are awesome. This is one of the best movie i have seen.

Raj Kapoor :The ultimate show-man

Raj Kapoor the cinematic 'auteur' and legend of Hindi cinema is one of the two or three most influential artist of Bollywood history. He was a film maker creating movies whose themes and content were often ahead of their time and as time caught up with his imagination, became standard structure for the rest of the industry.

With Dilip Kumar and Dev Anand, Raj Kapoor ruled the 1950s 'classic period' of Hindi cinema. His Charlie Chaplinesque 'tramp' character that he often portrayed in classics like, "Aware" and "Shree 420" was the Indian everyman, full of hopes, dreams, and also human fallibility. Raj Kapoor characters were often full of contradictions and conflicting emotions. They were complex, just like the man himself.
Raj Kapoor's early films were filled with political themes that leaned towards the socialist and championed human rights for the common man. During the 50s his films were very popular in Soviet Russia where he was feted as a celebrity of the people

I am very much fond of Raj Kapoor's movies .His movies are always special and different from other actors .All of his movies have some hidden messages for the society. If "Shri-420" teaches to refrain from income generated through wrong means, then "Jaagte Raho" shows the insensitiveness of our society. If anari shows "honesty is the best policy", then "Jis desh mein ganga bahti hai" shows the true countrymen spirit.

Some, additional benefits that you will get, while wathcing Raj Kapoor's movie are best music(generally by shankar jai-kishan) and playback by Mukesh.i love these ppl.
