Raj Kapoor :The ultimate show-man

Raj Kapoor the cinematic 'auteur' and legend of Hindi cinema is one of the two or three most influential artist of Bollywood history. He was a film maker creating movies whose themes and content were often ahead of their time and as time caught up with his imagination, became standard structure for the rest of the industry.

With Dilip Kumar and Dev Anand, Raj Kapoor ruled the 1950s 'classic period' of Hindi cinema. His Charlie Chaplinesque 'tramp' character that he often portrayed in classics like, "Aware" and "Shree 420" was the Indian everyman, full of hopes, dreams, and also human fallibility. Raj Kapoor characters were often full of contradictions and conflicting emotions. They were complex, just like the man himself.
Raj Kapoor's early films were filled with political themes that leaned towards the socialist and championed human rights for the common man. During the 50s his films were very popular in Soviet Russia where he was feted as a celebrity of the people

I am very much fond of Raj Kapoor's movies .His movies are always special and different from other actors .All of his movies have some hidden messages for the society. If "Shri-420" teaches to refrain from income generated through wrong means, then "Jaagte Raho" shows the insensitiveness of our society. If anari shows "honesty is the best policy", then "Jis desh mein ganga bahti hai" shows the true countrymen spirit.

Some, additional benefits that you will get, while wathcing Raj Kapoor's movie are best music(generally by shankar jai-kishan) and playback by Mukesh.i love these ppl.
