Fee hike in IIT's

First of all,i would like to point out that fee hike in an institution of repute and the so called temple of learning are not justified at all.its the responsibility of government to keep fee of these institutions of repute to the minimal level so that, even the poorest of poor guy can afford studying there.

Apart from the tution fee,One also has to pay the hostel fees, mess fee, library fees etc. So,on an year basis total expenditure at IIT's comes to around 60k.Also,the motive of iit's was not to get the whole expenditure from the students alone instead, they were established as an institution of repute which will create its own brand value and funds through R n D works, industry sponsorship and a part from government. So that, merit is not barred admission to these instituions of repute. So,rather than concentrating on fee hikes they should concentrate on industry sponsership and R&D works. You can not say that the hike in fees is not deterrent for the poor students as,there are many peoples who are so poor that they can not even bear the cost of living there in IIT's,So,how can they even dream of studying in these institutions...also loan is not the only solution for them. Loan is not the solution to their problem, instead it will create more burden on them...a college fresh guy who enters the IIT campus will have to keep in mind from the day1,that he is indebted towards someone and he has to pay it back.It may cause additional stress to him as well which in turn may hamper his studies. I am continuously viewing it evrywhere that loan is the solution of fee hikes. But,in my view loan is not a solution to any problems but it only creates more problems. Today IIT is IIT only due to quality of students who study there, once the merit is gone...IIT will not be an institution of repute. So they should take such steps so that, they continue to get the Meritorious students and not close the doors for them. I am not saying that fee hike should not be there but it should not be so much.Just now i saw the IIM's increaing their fees ranging from 2-3 times.is it rally justified ?from my point of view no. i am from a middle class family, but i can not dream of studying in these IIM's without taking loans. So,how the low income peoples will even dream of getting into IIM's or IIT's. there should be a rational behind fee hikes in these institutions of repute so that, everyone can afford the education. The increased cost of education if can not be beared by the IIT's govt should come forward,it will not be a huge amount for a govt, which can write off the loans for farm sector to the une of 60k crores

HRD, CBSE finetuning plan to make Class X exam optional

The HRD ministry decision to making 10th board examination optional,is one of the worst decision. This is in no way going to help upgrade our education system, instead it will downgrade student's skills furthur. No one will take his education seriously till 12th,as no one wanna go that extra mile, unless its really required.

So,it will in a long run will affect the sudent's career and in turn the whol education system of our country.also it will become very difficult for the +2 schools to admit the students. As they will have only selected band no of grades to differentiate between students academically.

Instead of removing the marking system from 10th board,Govt should have planned how to make the 10th and +2 syllabus moreover in sync and how to make the syllabus more employment oriented and interesting, so that a student does not feels extra burden when he goes for higher education.

I am totally against this decision. As no lunar mission is successful till its get launched succesfully, similarly no education is complete till its tested .Hoping before giving this bill final approval govt will have a re-think

My Birthday 15th August

Its 15th August, the 62nd Independence day of our country. We have come a long way since our independence i.e,15th Aug 1947.Its nice to see that our country is progressing in each and every field and is on the verge of gaining its old glory back.

I was sleeping on 15th morning ,when my mobile started ringing(its very anguish to see my mobile ringing, when i m in bed)anyways i got up from my bed to pick the call..the no was new to me ,it seemed to be some USA no.anyways,i picked the call....there was a surprise for me,Some close friend of mine had called me to wish me birthday wishes(my birthday falls on this auspicious day). Its beenlong, since i had talked to her last.So all my anguish vanished within seconds.

Then a series of calls started coming...ranging from Northern to Southern,Eastern to Western part of india and USA to UK.It gives me internal pleasure if someone remembers me on my birthday. It gives me feeling, that there are some friends, who really care for me.In my childhood days ,i used to feel pride to tease my friends by saying that see...my birthday falls on an auspicious day.

Due to this coincidence of my birthday,i had developed a self motivated interest to serve the country,as a Defence officer.I was fascinated by the sacrifices done by the indian freedom fighters. In my childhood days, each and every year in my school,i used to take the lead in making arrangements for the Independence day celebrations. It used to give me immense pleasure.I also used to participate in cultural programmes organized in my school..i won many prizes for the same, including a medal from the District Magistrate of my district.

Even during my B.Tech days,i was a part of N.C.C,so every year..we used to start practicing for parade 15-20 days prior to Independence day.It filled my heart with pride and satisfaction.I had decided that i will fulfill my career as an army officer. So,i appeared for the Combined Defense Services examination, and yes!! i was selected in the all india written test.My SSB Interview venue was 22,Sultania Infantry,Bhopal.I was very happy to clear this first hurdle and was hopeful to complete the second hurdle as well.In SSB interview(comprises of 5 days, with screening at each stage),i continued till the last day.But sad news, finally i was not selected as according to them my physical health was not fit for army job. So,no chances for me in army.

On that day i was very upset, but later on got motivational thoughts from my parents and family members...that only army is not the end of the road, and if i wanted to serve the coutry i could have done the same by being an engineer as well.Everyone who is working towards the betterment and upliftment of the country is serving the nation in one or the other means.

So,after that,i decided to be an engineer...where i can make the country technologically advanced..and am working in my way for the betterment of the country and its people.

I have come a long way in this blog.so,lets have an end to this.wish all of my countrymen happy independence day!!Jai Hind and thanks to all of my friends for their wishes!

Thats the day,

Gumraah : Sunil Dutt , Old Is Gold

Yesterday evening i was wandering about how to pass my leisure time ,as it was a weekend.Generally during weekends, i spend my time either sleeping/watching movies or surfing net.As i was wandering, suddenly my eyes popped out towards my movies collection and i saw that there was one Black and white movie CD,which i had not seen yet.The movie name was:Gumraah.

So,i had got my favourite medium to utilize my leisure time. This was one of the best movie,i have ever seen. After seeing this movie i have no doubt in saying that old era of indian film industry was really a golden era. There was perfection in everything, be it direction, action, music, lyrics or singing. The songs of this movie were all hearttouching. The story was superbb!!

In one word this movie was fantastic..I have not a single doubt in my mind nowadays, that old is really gold.these are the movies which can be enjoyed by sitting next to your family, unlike the new ones where there is vulgarity throughout the movie and one may even feel shy to watch it with his/hey hubby.

The movie starts with a very melodious note:Sunil dutt singing a song..In hawaon mein...thats an awesome song. The beautiful scenary which runs in background is also fantastic..this shows the level of perfection which used to be there in those movies.

The story is of an artist who is a very good singer as well as good painter,Rajendra(Sunil Dutt) who falls in love with Mina (Mala sinha),There life was going on at ease when suddenly one day
Mina's elder sister died by falling from hillock. She had 2 children, both were in very young age when Mina's elder sister died. So,there came one deadly turn to the story..

Guess what!!yes you are right,Mina's father recommended her to marry ashok kumar..as she could better take care of her children..and finally she had to sacrifice her love to marry Ashok kumar.

Anyways, though she had married ashok kumar and loved her children like her own child...still she had love in her heart for Sunil Dutt.and whenever she used to come back to home from mumbai...she used to meet him.Hey...sorry i am not gonna tell u the whole story else you will not njoy the movie...so thats all from me :)

the movie is full of many twists..and is very entertaining and family kindda movie..so i will recommend everyone to watch the movie....the scenic movie shown in this movie and the songs of the movie are awesome. This is one of the best movie i have seen.

Raj Kapoor :The ultimate show-man

Raj Kapoor the cinematic 'auteur' and legend of Hindi cinema is one of the two or three most influential artist of Bollywood history. He was a film maker creating movies whose themes and content were often ahead of their time and as time caught up with his imagination, became standard structure for the rest of the industry.

With Dilip Kumar and Dev Anand, Raj Kapoor ruled the 1950s 'classic period' of Hindi cinema. His Charlie Chaplinesque 'tramp' character that he often portrayed in classics like, "Aware" and "Shree 420" was the Indian everyman, full of hopes, dreams, and also human fallibility. Raj Kapoor characters were often full of contradictions and conflicting emotions. They were complex, just like the man himself.
Raj Kapoor's early films were filled with political themes that leaned towards the socialist and championed human rights for the common man. During the 50s his films were very popular in Soviet Russia where he was feted as a celebrity of the people

I am very much fond of Raj Kapoor's movies .His movies are always special and different from other actors .All of his movies have some hidden messages for the society. If "Shri-420" teaches to refrain from income generated through wrong means, then "Jaagte Raho" shows the insensitiveness of our society. If anari shows "honesty is the best policy", then "Jis desh mein ganga bahti hai" shows the true countrymen spirit.

Some, additional benefits that you will get, while wathcing Raj Kapoor's movie are best music(generally by shankar jai-kishan) and playback by Mukesh.i love these ppl.

Honesty is the best policy

Today,as usual as soon as the the clock struck past 1pm,we all went for lunch(here all indicates myself, mayank, tanmaya, navdeep and rahul). After taking our food as usual we tried to search for a place where we all could sit together.I swear its very difficult to get seat for 4-5 peoples together(As some ppls use to book there places by placing a tiffin box or like that).Somehow,we arranged a table and sat there,Suddenly as Navdeep was about to sit,he came across some object laying down which drew his attention. To our surprise, that object was nothing other than someone's Purse. He picked it up and showed us,it was looking like a gent's purse. Now the question was how to help this Guy who has carelessly dropped his purse. Then someone suggested to look for any visting cards or address card imbibed in it.I took the purse in my hand and started searching for the same.To my utter surprise, the purse which was looking like Gent's purse wa actually of a Gal's(Astonished, gals have even copied the gent's purse also apart from clothing styles).by the way our main concern was not to look for whether it was a guy's/gal's wallet but instead to look after whose wallet it was.So i searched the purse but to add up to our worries,it had not any visting cards or address written inside.Instead there was a gal's Company ID card of IBM.we thought how to reach to that girl,as the ID card was showing that the girl belonged to IBM,Bangalore.Every of us had different opinions some told, give it to IBM helpdesk, some told give it to HSBC helpdesk, some told try to get her contact number better,as there were creadit cards also there in the walllet so,it was not safe.anyhow, finally i got a paper containing a list of her friend's mobile no. we tried contacting each of the number. But again surprise factor was there, most of the numbers were either switched off or were out of service.Anyhow we got one of her friend's number working and called her.yeahhhh she responded and another surprise, she did not knew this gal's number(a sign of new erra friend).but she promised that somehow she will inform her.we came back thinking what should we do,thinking of a lots of options in our minds..as this was a serious case.May be that even we may get questioned if we keep it for long with us.finally we came to conclusion that let wait till today's evening after which we will hand it over to HSBC helpdesk.so we came back to our desks and started our daily work.suddenly my phone rang,a new number was peeping from my mobile's tiny screen.I was unaware of that number,(thought of some credit card agents calling).Unwillingly i attended the call, the other side wanted to confirm is this mr shyam?(my doubt got almost to confirmation that this is pakka a credit card agent,by the way i thought lets hear what she waana say).I answered in affirmative, then she narrated the whole story about her purse.I was happy that finally i have traced her and was happy that yes i have done something for others.Actually that girl(who lost her purse) was also from HSBC ,she had recently joined hsbc from IBM.so thatsy she was still carrying her card in the wallet).chalo..finally i met her and gave her the card. She was very very happy..and was continuosly saying thank you, thank you.i was feeling a sigh of relief inside me.It feels good when you do help someone that was my conclusion. Its not a fiction but, a real story full of surprises.

Foundations of Supreme Court shaken

After this OBC reservation being passed by our Supreme court.I am really worried about what will happen to our beloved country india.if things like this go on then, the days are not too far when these politicians for the sake of their benefit will sell this country.their greed has no limitations.they can do anything for their votebanks.
first there was SC/ST reservation, then came OBC reservation in UPSC exams like,IAS(the administrative jobs)outcome of which we have seen...so need not mention it.then now the recent one is reservation in IIT's IIM's for OBC....in future they will have some reservation for politicians, minorities and so on.
and in very few years there will not be any seats for General Candidates. So better i request all of my general candidate friends that whenever they find chance leave this country...and let the system collapse here.
i had some faith on judicial system ealier but,now they have also shaken my faith after this important and shameful decision..and now i do not have any faith on the whole system....whenever,i will get a chance i will migrate fro india and will never let my families retun back here.
my country of dreams is preparing to go into shambles due to these greedy politicians.

Destroyin the Brand IIT/IIM's through reservations

Today's IIT's NIT's and IIM's are considered to be brands in india only due to the quality of students which they fetch year by year.If the atmosphere in these institutions of repute will be polluted then days are not far away when they will no more be any global brands and their alumnii will not get due respect in the global arena for which they are known as. It took years to make them as a brand but,it will take the govt only a fraction of minutes to destroy the brand value. One should play with these institutions of repute. At least leave them away from your dirty politics. These politicians are the most dirtiest persons of the society(barring few),some are criminals ,some are murderers, some belong to the kidnapping mafia, land mafia, don's etc and etc. So,who are they to decide out fate and what do they know about Education and reservation, they have nothing to do with the wellness of our country and its ppls. They only look for their benefits..and thatsy why they only choose those topics in which they get reap maximum benefits. so,i do not have much more expectation from our indian politicians.some asks for women reservation, some ask for caste based reservation and some for region based reservations. What are these peoples doing for india is evident by the fact that our non planned expenditure is more than our planned expenditure.

Is this Reservation in IIT's IIM's justified?

To add more woes to the general class students ,apart from their already existing worries. The supreme court has also made houlders to shoulders movement with the Central government .Now,its almost sure that the Reservation will take away some more seats from the General Category candate's bounty. The government is saying that it will not let affect the general category seats by making arrangements such that, their seats will not be touched and extra arrangements will be done to boost up the infrastructure at the universities to make it hapen. But,is this all we ant from the govt?since last 10 yrs our population has increased like sky rocketing inflation, but the total no of seats in the govt institutions has increased at a turtles pace. So,Is it justified that the seats for general category will remain same??you are gonna increase seats for the OBC candidates, then why not for general canidates? its too much...and if same trends goes on in india then days are not far when Indian merits will find a much better place across teh globe, and this country will be a barren land of merit. The trend is evident even today also,IITians and IIMites are giving preference toglobal prospectes rather than to india,as they do not want that their wards should also suffer through the same syndrome through which they themselves have suffered for so long. I have a simple question in my mind since very long,if the ppls in parliament are always ready to approve the reservation bills, then why not they get cured their illness with the reserved category doctors rather than going to USA and UK?why are they then adding more burden on indian economy by adding up their spiralling medical bills.they should also made criterai like, those involved in their secuirity should consist of 7.5% ST,15% SC and 27% OBC? why is all this rules for ppls like us onluy(general category).the politicians should also implement this in their lives.I am really fed up with all these issues in my beloved country.I think once again..there will a revolution in india..which will eradicate all these reservations based on caste, region and language.

Are MNS activities justified??

This Marathi/Non-Marathi issue is being raised by the MNS activists since last 2 months and no solid actions ahs been taken against the party/partymen.The agenda of Raj Thakre is not to show his concerns for the marathi speaking peoples instead,he wants to just explore the local votebanks.Time and again we have seen that political parties find it best to explore the vote banks through regional/cast based issues. The main reason behind this regional issue is the cheap popularity and easy access to the print and electronic media.how many peoples were aware of MNS and Raj thakre prior to this issue..the answer is miniscule. So,to come into the race for the chief ministerial candidacy as well as to reap the benefits without doing anything he found it the most easiest and easy to use tool. We have seen in the history also many parties using the same trump card to come into power .If BJPO chhose hindutva and babri masjid, then RJD took Muslim Yadav equation in bihar,If Balasahab Thakre chose anti south indian flagship then BSP took Caste based resrevation....so its not a new issue but we can find many such records in our history The reason MNS is targetting the UP/Bihar peoples is that Media will take too much galore in raising this issue ,since Bihar/UP are the states which are favourite for the Media also. When even a small news is there from Bihar/Up, the media will make it more spicy with adding many adjectives and will keep it in headlines, while even when a really big crime happens somewehre else in India it will come to the last page. so,whioch party would like to miss such a good coverage and easy popularity and would resort to other issues.So,UP/Bihar is MNS's obvious choice. Where is the Govtt of India and the Supreme Court sitting,so many innocent peoples are being attacked throughout te maharashtra still the govt keeps mum,There should be a provision in constitution to ban such parties which tries to get popularity with these easier and dangerous means. Peoples from Bihar and UP are not from the ancestors of Ravana's that they are going to destroy raj Thakre's Kunba.everywhere there are some good persons and evil persons...then first of all why North Indians and last but not the least why This type of Regionalism? Regionalism is nto an end to any issues in this world and that when india is progressing with such a high pace to be a world leader soon. Jai Hind
